ABOUT THIS WEBSITE
I’ve had this domain since 2003 for the sole purpose of using it as a journal/blog. This blog is about my journey through this thing called life.
2000 was when I stumbled upon the blogging world. I started out at AsianAvenue.com and then moved to GeoCities. That was also when I got into web designing & coding (HTML, CSS style sheets, etc.)–self-taught. In 2001 was when I bought my first domain in order to have full editing control when it came to designing my website. It became a favorite pastime of mine, and soon found online friends who shared the same hobby, and most of them happened to be mommy bloggers as well. I’ve always made time to redesign my website and layout using my favorite software, Jasc Paintshop Pro, which I would use almost every other month to create a new scheme/layout. It was fun while it lasted. That was the good old days, though. Not until 2006/2007 was when this hobby managed to slip to the bottom of my priority list. Unfortunately, it still is at the bottom of the list. However, I still would manage to sneak in a post when I have the time for it.
REASONS WHY I BLOG
I blog because I like to write, and I have used this blog to improve my writing skills, as well as to chronicle the occurrences in my life. As a teenager, I had a diary that didn’t start out as one but a notebook dedicated as letters in which I intended to send to my BFF who was living in NYC at the time. We became instant BFFs when I was 9 and she was 8. She moved away from the Philippines when I was in the 5th grade to CA and then moved back to NYC a couple of years later. Unfortunately, I lost her new address after she moved to New Jersey when I was 15 and never mailed my letters out to her as planned. I still have that notebook in storage. So sometimes when I blog it feels like I am writing to her. Last but not least, this blog serves as an outlet. I can turn to my blog to release whatever thoughts are consuming my mind, which is what’s nice about having a journal because it can be therapeutic.
If you happen to be offended with what I write, feel free to exit. I don’t expect anyone to agree with my thoughts and/or opinions. The opinions expressed in my blog/journal represent my own. What I choose to share on my blog/journal is my business. Be warned, I sometimes cuss a lot, especially when I am angry. I try to censor myself as best as possible, but sometimes I feel that I can express myself better with cuss words, although some may feel it’s unnecessary.
